Welcomed Makers.

Awesome group of makers from jewelers, sewers, leatherworker, 3D modeler, to young inventors and more.

Topics of conversation:

Kevin showed off a 3D Printed Dark Knight Rises Batarang that was modified to have a name plate front center.  Sorry forgot to take a picture of it.  But if you want to create your own name plated Batarang, here’s the link to the 3D Model Dark Knight Rises Batarang on Thingiverse

The plan is to have an Introduction to Arduino class after the first of the year. Also planned is a basic electronics class based on Squishy Circuits. These classes will be inexpensively priced — a lab fee for the equipment. Right now, it looks like the Squishy Circuits class will have a $20 fee and the Arduino a $40 fee. This fee includes take-home electronics parts for further self-paced training.

Before the meeting ended Kevin suggested a group project.  Makers coming together to creating something were everyone is sharing, learning and having fun making.  Think of what that project might be and let’s talk about it in the next meeting.

But once of month meeting isn’t enough, following Central Texas Makers on Facebook for updates, events, happenings and news.  If you are in the midst of project and need help, advise or just want to talk shop visit Central Texas Makers forum. Feel free to share, post and ask question.   We are a community of maker and are here to help one another.

Look forward to your creations.  Have fun making.
